Aspen Light - Ruby Range

Location: Colorado, Ruby Range in The Raggeds

In the morning, the distant cliffs of the Ruby Range and The Dyke are an interesting blue ridgeline. But late afternoon sun lights up the beautiful reds and yellows, while the wildflower-filled aspen meadow leads your eye to the vegetated slopes behind. Although I couldn't get there from my secluded campsite, I can't help wanting to hike up and over that ridgeline on the trail from Lake Irwin.
